Boards - Front board very clean with perfect gilt, minimal edge rubbing, weak corners, but not bumped. Rear board has some rubbing, a ¼” black stain near the top, a ¼” white spot on the bottom, slight divot on the top edge.
Spine - Darker than the front and rear boards. Gilt not as brilliant as the front board. Head and tail have wear
Binding - Tight backstrip; pages and paste downs are all very secure. Hinges are tight.
Pages - Clean pages with soiled and un-trimmed fore edges. Some stains in the margin on pages 11 to 20; largest is 1” in diameter. There is erased pencil writing on page 244. The front paste down has glue residue from a book plate. The front free paper has
