Boards -.Front board shows some rubbing on the red portion of the illustrations, black ink of illustration is very strong, small 1/8” nick near the horses hoof, minor soiling on the bottom right quadrant of the front board, edge wear is present, and corners are starting to fray. Back board has some soil marks, edge wear, and fraying corners.
Spine - Wear to head and foot, minor soiling, very nice gilt and illustrations
Binding - Solid with a slight wobble, front hinge is not cracked, and back hinge is starting to show the start of cracking
Pages - Clean , free of writing, and starting to show tanning on the extremeties
